Improved Metrics for Success
Speaker: Dr. Brandon Olson from The College of St. Scholastica
Project success is too often determined by the ability to deliver the scope within the budget and schedule constraints. This operational success measure represents the minimal expectations of the project and does not evaluate the actual organization’s expectations of the project. In fact, the operational measure of project success promotes project actions and behaviors that are counter to achieving the true organizational goals.
In this presentation, a more complete set of project success measures are proposed to better support the organization’s goals and to align project actions and behaviors to these goals. These expanded measures can be used to better evaluate project success on its contributions to the organization’s project portfolio.
Professional Development Units (PDU) or Continuing Education Credits (CE) will be defined as 1.0 Strategy.
