Conference website:

Cachexia is the progressive loss of muscle and fat in cancer. Cachexia decreases quality of life and response to therapy. There are currently no approved, effective treatments for cachexia.

The purpose of this event is to cultivate a bi-directional conversation between patients and family members and the physicians and scientists most invested in cancer cachexia care and research. Here physicians and scientists will communicate best practice, evidence-based medicine and physician experience to patients and caregivers, along with information about the state of the art in experimental cachexia therapy, mechanisms driving this terrible condition and hope for the future. At the same time, patients, families and caregivers can educate investigators and clinical trialists regarding cachexia symptoms, considerations on participating in clinical trials for cachexia, and appropriate and meaningful clinical endpoints for cachexia therapies, what aspects of cachexia are most concerning and most important to the patients.

Sorry, registration for this event is now closed.
