May 12, 2019: Mother's Day Nature Crafts - 1pm-3pm

Celebrate Mother’s Day by crafting out in nature! This upcycling workshop is family friendly for all ages and will make a beautiful take home gift for those special female role models in your life! These crafts will be created from harvesting the beauty out in nature. Most materials will be found in the forest and families will have to work together to shape them into something special for your home! Learn to whittle wood and more! 

June 16, 2019: Father's Day in the Forest - 10am-12pm

Celebrate those inspirational and special male role models in your life by spending Father’s Day out in the woods! Come join us to learn some new survival techniques out in the wilderness. Some of the activities will include: learning what essentials to bring on a backcountry trip, making your own fire starters, collecting fresh water, making delicious bannock, and packing away your food from wildlife! This Family Day is fun for the whole family, having games and activities for all ages!

Payment Options

Payment: Payment is due in full at time of registration. Failure to receive payment will result in the registration being cancelled.

Cancellation Policy: A lot of preparation goes into our programs. Registrations can be cancelled with a minimum of 2 weeks notice, and a refund will be issued. Cancellations with less than 2 weeks notice will not receive a refund.

Liability Waivers: A participant waiver form and media consent for must be filled out by each family to participate. 

What to Bring: Please be prepared! Events are outdoors and run in all weather conditions (unless the weather is a safety concern ie: winds, lightning). Please make sure all participants have appropriate clothing and footwear for all weather conditions (ie: waterproof clothing, running shoes, hiking shoes and/or boots, gloves, hats, and a change of clothes for after the activities). Inappropriate clothing and footwear may result in the participant sitting out. No flip flops.

Arriving: Please park in our public parking lot, and meet our leaders at the Malcolm Knapp Research Forest sign in our arboretum (behind the office). Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time to get situated.
