The Science of Craft Beer

Making unique and enjoyable beer isn’t magic — it’s science!
The process of brewing is fueled by biology and chemistry, and brewers with a solid background in the science of brewing are able to express their creativity in countless ways.
Join fellow UBC alumni as well as craft beer expert, Joe Wiebe, BFA’04, MFA’06, at the newly renovated Swans Brewpub in Victoria for an evening where we’ll explore the science of beer.
As you sample the beers and enjoy a selection of appetizers from Swans’ kitchen, you’ll also pick up beer terminology and tasting techniques from Joe that will
make you quickly feel like a craft beer insider.
