CPABC CareerConnect Speed Interview Night

CPABC's CareerConnect Employer Program is hosting this opportunity to promote your organization to CPAs and future CPAs (including current and prospective CPA students) who are exploring career opportunities in accounting. Speed Interview Nights are a quick and effective way to pre-screen a large number of candidates all in one night. We invite your organization to participate and interview candidates for current and future career opportunities.

The Speed Interview Process:

  • When the candidates arrive they will line up in front of the employers of their choice for a chance to interview.
  • There is no bell or buzzer to start/stop the individual interviews. It will be up to the employers’ discretion to determine the length of each interview, keeping in mind that this is a 'speed interview' night and that interview length should be kept short. We suggest 5-7 minutes depending on the number of candidates waiting to interview with you.
  • The candidates will be asked to bring their resumes. You can ask interview questions based on their resume or prepare a set of questions in advance.
  • The essence of the speed interview event is for employers to identify candidates to consider for a full follow-up interview at a later date.

Event Schedule:

  • 5:00 - 6:00 - Set up: Interview tables will be set up around the perimeter of the room. Table signage will be provided to identify each employer. Please feel free to bring your own signage/pop-up display banners
  • 6:00 - Speed Interview Night begins: First wave of candidates will arrive
  • 7:30 - Second wave of candidates will arrive
  • 9:00 - Event concludes

*Registration is only open to direct employers, recruitment firms are not eligible to participate in Speed Interview Nights.
