Robert P. (Bob) Vickerstaff was a highly respected insurance company executive; one who built Axa Pacific Insurance into one of western Canada's leading insurers. An individual who was passionate about our industry, he was a champion of western Canadian business. Never afraid to take up a cause, he believed strongly that our industry was under-appreciated and in need of a higher profile. 

 

The Insurance Brokers Association of B.C. is very pleased to present political columnist  and pundit Andrew Coyne

as our distinguished guest speaker on

March 7, 2019.

A National Post original, Andrew Coyne’s journalism career has also included positions with Maclean’s, the Globe and Mail and the Southam newspaper chain. He has been a regular contributor to The National’s At Issue panel since 2005. Andrew is a Fellow of the School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Toronto.

Though he claims he to have a distaste for politics, Andrew considers himself an optimist and believes that there is a better politics out there – and that it is the role of the media to help bring it out. He has contributed to a wide range of other publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, National Review, Time and Saturday Night.


 


 

 

This event brings B.C.'s insurance industry and elected representatives together for an evening of networking. You are requested and encouraged to invite as your table guest, a Member of Parliament, Senator, Member of the Legislative Assembly or Mayor or Councillor. In order to provide appropriate recognition and VIP courtesy, we request that you notify us of the planned attendance of your elected official/guest at least 7 days prior to the event. 

Dress code is business attire.
