Thank you for your interest in presenting at the 2021 PHSA Spring Conference. We deeply value your time and expertise!

The Spring Conference is going completely virtual this year and we invite you to join us on this adventure! We will be using the flexibility of Zoom and plan to incorporate other interactive activities to provide a well-rounded event for attendees. 

We are seeking workshops in a variety of formats including panel presentations, facilitated presentations with PowerPoint, and recorded conversations with experts, presented as a live conversation.

When submitting a proposal, please keep the following in mind:

• Proposals may be Standard (90 minutes, 1 break-out session) or Half day (3 hours, divided between 2 break-out sessions) in length.
• Each Presenter must have his/her own laptop and stable internet connection.
• We are seeking highly interactive and results oriented proposals.

Considerations for selection:

• Session contributes to the depth and breadth of sessions being offered;
• Sessions connect to or highlight the overall conference theme;
• Relevant learning objectives;
• Best practices for adult learning;
• Understanding of challenges and opportunities presented by online learning;
• Clarity, completeness, and accuracy of proposal. Please review carefully for spelling, grammar, and punctuation before submitting.

Suggestions for a quality presentation:

• Creating more effective visual content like graphs, diagrams, timelines, and visual organization of text points
• Using images and icons on slides
• Engaging participants by building slides piece by piece and using movie-like animation
• Including YouTube video clips
• Using polls that include text or images
• Incorporating live content from other sources, like documents, spreadsheets, and websites
• Effectively using the chat feature to keep participants engaged
• Use zoom break rooms for small group discussions and activities
• Create PDF documents and executive summary videos for those attending in person and those looking at the material later
• Options for sharing slides that allow you to have more control of what the participants see
• Bringing the focus to you instead of the slides
