CPABC Richmond/South Delta Chapter invites members and candidates/students to participate in Richmond Fruit Recovery Program offered by Richmond Food Security Society. Volunteers collect unused fruit, called a pick, from residential or community fruit trees and bushes and donate it to the Richmond Food Bank and other community partners. The harvest is split three ways between volunteers, fruit owners, and community partners.

Benefits include:

  • Helping to reduce food waste
  • Getting outside and exercising
  • Meeting like-minded members and networking
  • Seeing new parts of Richmond

And of course, getting some free organic fruit for all your hard work!
