 Session 1 - Annual GST Update

Topics covered will include:

  • Changes in legislation in the past years
  • Court decisions
  • Administrative Policy/memos etc.
  • Audit Issues

Prerequisite:
Must have some understanding of GST to be able to understand the implications of the legislation and administrative changes and audit issues discussed.


Session 2 - Annual PST Update

Topics covered will include:

  • Changes in legislation in the past years
  • Court decisions
  • Administrative Policy/memos etc.
  • Audit Issues

  Speaker's Biography:

Charlotte Hoggard, CPA, CGA, CFI

President, T. Charlotte Hoggard Inc Vancouver Island

Charlotte has been dealing with sales tax issues, including GST, since 1990. Her involvement started with CRA and in 1999 she left to continue helping clients with the sales tax in public practice. She assists clients with the various implications of sales tax, including GST, HST and PST, both on an advisory and practical basis, such as representing them to CRA. Charlotte has been a member of the board of various non-profit and charitable organizations.

Early bird registration for both events until October 31, 2018 is $80 which qualifies for 2 hours verifiable CPD for each session (4 hours in total).
After October 31, 2018 for both events is $90 which qualifies for 2 hours verifiable CPD for each session (4 hours in total).
Alternatively, you can take either of these sessions individually for $45 each and are 2 hours verifiable CPD each.


Please note Chapter events are not eligible for the CPABC Passport. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Please also kindly note that we do not accept walk-in at the registration desk. Registration must be completed using ePly.

Parking at the hotel facility is free for this event but please check with the hotel registration desk to confirm whether you need to provide them with your licence plate.
