The 25% Rule for Classroom Assessment

In our work with Dylan Wiliam, we learned about an idea called "the 25% rule." - 25% of assessment should be detailed teacher feedback - 25% of assessment should be skimmed and summarized for whole class feedback - 25% of assessment should be peer feedback - 25% of feedback should be self-assessment This session will provide an in-depth look at these four types of assessment in the classroom assessment process.

In this fast paced session, we will share 60 formative assessment strategies and tips for in-person and virtual classroom learning environments.

Audience:
For K-12 teachers and leaders wanting to enhance their assessment practice.

Location:
These sessions are facilitated virtually via Google Meet. The meeting link will be sent the day before each session.

Asynchronous Learning Option:
Registered participants will gain 2-week access to the recording, presentation slides, and other session materials for their session(s).
Recordings and materials are posted to a Google Classroom once each session is completed. The link to access materials will be emailed to registered participants.

Should a session be cancelled, AAC will offer a credit for the registration fee to either:

register for a different AAC open session, or
make a purchase in the AAC book store, or
