Registration for Comprehensive Systematic Review Training  

The University of Victoria Centre for Evidence-Informed Nursing and Healthcare (CEiNHC) is offering the JBI comprehensive systematic review training program (CSRTP). in spring 2023. 

The CSRTP is designed for people interested in completing systematic reviews using JBI’s well-recognized approaches, including researchers, clinicians and librarians. Please see JBI Global Education for more details about course content. 

New format for 2023: The program will be delivered over a five week period. Participants will attend a full day of training every Friday beginning April 28th and finishing with protocol presentations on May 26th. This new format will allow participants to engage more deeply with the course content and form an enriched online community of people working on systematic reviews. 

Location: Online Remote Learning hosted from Victoria, BC.  

Dates: April 28th, May 5th, May 12th, May 19th, May 26th, 2023

Time: 9:00-5:00pm Pacific Time

Participants must complete the following three modules and will receive a reviewer certificate from JBI and a one year subscription to JBI Sumari.

Module 1: Introduction to Evidence-based Healthcare and Systematic Review of Evidence (Monday)
Module 2: The Systematic Reviews of Quantitative Evidence (Tuesday & Wednesday)
Module 3: The Systematic Reviews of Qualitative Evidence Generated by Qualitative Research, Narrative and Text (Thursday & Friday)

Our online learning platform, Brightspace (D2L), allows participants to access the JBI reading package and additional resources beginning one week prior to one week after the course. Participants are strongly encouraged to read the materials and complete the workbook activities in advance. We will cover some of the material more quickly to ensure participants can complete the program's interactive components and have an opportunity to work on developing their own review protocol.

Cost: The cost for this five-day program is $1365 (including 5% GST) We offer a discounted price of $1092 (including 5% GST) for faculty at the University of Victoria, BSN partner colleges, and affiliates at Island Health. Registration: Participants must pay in full by credit card when registering. Registration will close on April 15th, 2023, or earlier if the course is full. No cancellations after April 15th. Cancellations before April 15th are subject to an administrative fee.
