This year, the ACEC-SC Future Leaders class hosted a Wooden Car Derby. They spent weeks pulling together teams, working on cars, and fundraising for the Boy Scouts of America and the ACEC National PAC. Team 5 of Christy Shumate (Three Oaks Engineering), Nicole Riddle (Edwards-Pitman Environmental), and Lauren Turner (CDM Smith) took home the win! As the winning team, ACEC-SC is sending them to the ACEC National Conference at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, CO. We are the first ever state to send a Future Leaders team to the Conference, and we will be racing against all other ACEC states.
