On September 22, 2021 from 11:00 am-12:00 pm, we will be hosting Eddy Robinson to share his presentation, Debwewin (Truth). Debwewin in Anishinaabemowin (Ojibway Language) means the heart/truth language. In this presentation Eddy brings attention and awareness to the impacts of Residential Schools and how it has directly contributed to the breakdown of his own family nucleus. Every Canadian should know about what has happened for a more truthful Canada.
Orange Shirt Day, also newly the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation, takes place on Thursday September 30th this year. The annual Orange Shirt Day opens the door to conversations on all aspects of Residential Schools and the legacy they have left behind. On September 30, wear orange in support of bringing awareness to residential schools, their legacy, and Survivors.
