2020 Composting at Home

* Program update: Due to current circumstances, the 2020 Composting at Home program must be postponed. Please complete the information below and we will notify you when we are able to run the program again.

This program helps Red Deer residents successfully turn their kitchen and yard waste into compost in their own yards.

It will take about 15 minutes to register. To participate in this program you must:

- Live in the city of Red Deer
- Not be successfully composting but want to learn how, and not have previously participated in this program
- Attend a 2.5 hour workshop to learn to compost
- Commit to composting and reporting on your results until June 2021
- Have a ground-level outdoor space under your control where you can compost

If you need more information please visit www.reddeer.ca/composting or call 403-314-5894.

You will choose one workshop to attend. Workshops will be held on a variety of dates in April; see the Sessions section below.

NOTE: This is not the Green Cart program, where The City picks up your organic waste with your garbage. The Composting at Home program gives you all the tools and training you need to compost in a backyard composter.

Sorry, registration for this event is now closed.
